Putting off...

I've been putting off working on my stacked coins baby quilt. There's probably about 30 inches of binding left to stitch before it's done...

...and there's been about that much for about 4 weeks now. Since baby Claire was born 5 weeks ago, I seem to have lost all sense of urgency regarding finishing this quilt.

Do you ever have this problem? The project that is just-so-close to done, but you can't seem to get to it? How do you get yourself re-motivated? I'm stuck (so much so that I'd rather write a blog post than finish it!).

Sigh...

  1. Isn't there some rule like "you blogged about it, now you have to finish it"? :-)

  2. That does happen to me but something will spur to get excited about it and finish it. 30" isn't that much to do. Go for it.

  3. I think I am the queen of that! lol. I have a hard time finishing a lot of my projects. I had to laugh when you said you would rathar blog about it than do it because I find myself doing even housework sometimes to put off finishing something--even if it a more enjoyable craft!! lol. I don't know why we get like that sometimes.

  6. LOL, that's what happened to a quilt that was supposed to be a wedding present two weeks ago! My husband really wanted to make sure that she got it though (it was his best work bud's daughter), so he kept pestering me about it ... but usually posting it on a blog makes me want to also post it's finished ... did that happen for you???
